Kenya Safari - 13 Days / 11 Nights
Saturday: Depart from Dulles airport in Washington DC for the overnight flight to Nairobi on Ethiopian Airlines.
Sunday: Arrive in Nairobi the next evening and after Entry Formalities, transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Nairobi.
Monday:
 

 

A Full Day tour of Nairobi. Visit the major landmarks of the Kenyatta Center, the central Mosque, Nairobi's Central Market and the home of Karen Blixen, whose life inspired the film "Out of Africa". After lunch, experience your first safari game drive in the Nairobi National Park. Overnight in Nairobi.
Tuesday:

 

In the morning, drive north to Mount Kenya and the world famous 'Ark' safari lodge in Aberdare National Park. En route, stop in Nanyuki to stand on the Equator. Enjoy game viewing in the evening from the balcony overlooking a waterhole. Dinner and overnight at the Ark.
Wednesday:
 
After early morning game viewing, depart for Lake Nakuru, a soda lake that is home to over a million flamingoes. Enjoy an evening game drive with dinner and overnight at lake Nakuru.
Thursday:
 
Return drive to Nairobi and on from the Rift Valley escarpment down into the vast Maasai Mara National Park. Arrive at your lodge in time for late afternoon game viewing, followed by dinner and overnight.
Friday:
 
 
 

 

A full day in the Maasai Mara for early morning and late afternoon game drives. Some of the animals you will see include lion, elephant, cape buffalo, cheetah, hyena, and numerous species of antelope and birds. Take an optional Hot Air Balloon ride at dawn for spectacular views of the Serengeti Plain from the air, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush while Maasai warriors stand guard over you! Dinner and overnight in the Mara.
Saturday:

 

After a final game drive, begin the return journey to Nairobi, stopping to visit a Maasai Village and meet these noble Nomads of the plains. There will also be opportunities to shop for their famous carvings and beadwork. Arrive in Nairobi late in the day. Dinner and overnight.
Sunday:

 

Depart Nairobi in the morning for the flight to Mombasa on the Kenya coast. After lunch, enjoy the seaside atmosphere, stroll the sandy beaches and take a swim in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Dinner and overnight in Mombasa.
Monday:
 

 

A Full Day tour of Mombasa, including a visit to a Crocodile Farm and historic Fort Jesus. Take a tour into the bush to meet the local Swahili people and visit a school. Learn about the ancient Arab slave trade of Africa's East coast. End the day with a Farewell Dinner at Fort Jesus. Overnight in Mombasa.
Tuesday:
 

 

Morning departure from Mombasa for the flight back to Nairobi. After lunch you will have an afternoon free for last minute shopping and packing for your trip home, or enjoy a final game drive in the Nairobi National Park. In the evening, dine at the Carnivore restaurant where the mottos is: "All the Meat you Can Eat!". Overnight in Nairobi.
Wednesday:

 

Depart Nairobi in the morning for the two hour flight to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia and the land that was home to the legendary Queen of Sheba. You will have an afternoon to explore the city and shop. Dinner and overnight in Addis.
Thursday: Depart Addis for return flight to Dulles - Washington DC, arriving in the afternoon on the same day.
