in Cairo at 4:30 pm and transfer to your hotel after clearing Customs and
Immigration. Overnight in Cairo. |
Sunday:

Morning
departure for the flight to Luxor, arriving before noon. Transfer to your
cruise ship for check-in and lunch onboard. In the afternooon, visit the
Temple of Luxor and the Temple of karnak. After dinner, you can explore
the night bazaar or take in the optional Son & Lumiere show at Karnak.

Monday:

Full
Day tour of the West Bank necropolis of Thebes. Visit the Valley of Kings,
the Valley of Queens, Medinet Habu, the Colossi of Memnon and the magnificent
mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, Egypt's only woman pharaoh. You will also
visit an alabaster workshop with opportunities for souvenir shopping. In
the evening we lift anchor for Aswan, while you dine and relax poolside
or in the lounge. Overnight to Esna |
Tuesday:

Overnight
you have arrived at Esna. Visit the Temple of Khnum, a splendid example
of Ptolemaic architecture. We continue up the Nile to Edfu where in the
afternoon you will tour the Temple of Horus. Dinner and overnight, as we
continue upriver. |
Wednesday:

In
the morning visit the Temple of Sobek at Kom Ombo before the final leg
to Aswan. We arrive in Aswan at noon with lunch onboard. In the afternoon,
take a boat to a Nubian Village in the heart of Black Egypt. Enter a private
home and visit the local school. On the return, stop at the island Temple
of Philae. Enroute to the ship, visit a Perfume Palace for shopping. After
dinner, enjoy the farewell Egyptian Night costume party with music and
entertainment. Overnight on the ship. |
Thursday:

Check
out and prepare luggage for transfer to the airport. *Say goodbye to Nubia
by visiting the Rock Quarries and the Unfinished Obelisk, and take a tradition
felucca ride under sail to Elephantine Island and the hilltop Mausoleum
of the Aga Kahn with a panoramic view of Aswan. Board your flight in the
afternoon for the return to Cairo and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and
overnight in Cairo.
* In the morning, you can elect
to take an optional alternate tour by air to Abu Simbel and the famous
rock temple of Ramesis II. |
Friday:

Full
Day in Cairo. In the morning, visit the Egyptian Museum and the treasures
of Tut-Ankh-Amon. After lunch, tour Old Cairo with visits to the Mohammed
Ali Mosque, a Jewish Synagogue and Coptic Churches. Finish the day with
a shopping trip to the medieval Kahn-el-Kalili bazaar. Dinner and overnight
in Cairo. |
Saturday:

Full
Day tours of the Old Kingdom. After breakfast, depart for Saqqara to visit
the Step Pyramid and Old Kingdom tombs, followed by a visit to Memphis
to see the Alabaster Sphinx. Lunch in a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon,
tour the Great Pyramids and the Mysterious Sphinx. Dinner is at your leisure,
but those who want can say farewell to Egypt by dining at a floating restaurant
on the Nile, with views of Cairo at night and entertainment onboard. Overnight
